This Position reports to: Head of Central Finance Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory) We are looking for a M&A CFIN architect to support System of Record (SOR)–related activities within the Central Finance (CFIN) landscape. This role supports mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and new company code onboarding by assisting in the alignment and integration of acquired entities’ SOR finance data and processes into the target CFIN environment, in line with defined business requirements and standards. This position requires close coordination with Deployment team, Functional architects and external vendors, to maintain and evolve the CFIN M&A Solution Architect, ensuring it meets business needs and complies with ABB's standards. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India. You will be mainly accountable for: Assist in configuring and deploying M&A-related finance solutions in CFIN for new company codes, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. Support SOR data migration from source systems, including initial load, AVL load, and data validation for new clients. Work across O2C, P2P, R2R, Tax, and Treasury processes to ensure accurate integration and operational readiness. Perform financial reconciliations, system testing, and support issue resolution during deployments. Assist with real-time data replication and CPAY activation to enable seamless transactions and reporting in CFIN. Collaborate with CFIN solution teams, IS architects, M&A leads, vendors, and business stakeholders to support integration and deployment activities. Follow ABB standards, data governance, and regulatory requirements while building expertise in CFIN, SAP S/4HANA, and SOR processes for continuous improvement. Qualifications for the role (Mandatory) Background & Experience: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in SAP S/4HANA, SAP CFIN, or IT architecture. 7-10+ years of experience as CFIN Finance Architect, or similar role, with strong hands-on experience in mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, including finance systems integration and separation activities. Deep expertise in SAP Central Finance (CFIN), SAP S/4HANA Finance, and related ERP platforms, with practical experience integrating acquired entities, harmonizing finance processes Proven experience in M&A integration capabilities, such as data migration, Testing Automation, legal entity setup, intercompany processing, and transitional service arrangements (TSA). Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes (Order to Cash, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Tax, Treasury) as they relate to M&A integration and carve-out scenarios. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical teams. A strong focus on continuous improvement and automation, with a passion for driving innovation within enterprise systems. Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
