Role Impact and Summary This role is within Wavemaker, a leading brand within WPP Media, where you will be instrumental in positively provoking growth for clients by reshaping consumer decision-making and experiences through media, content, and technology. MEASURES OF SUCCESS In three months: • Understand the client’s business and independently respond to queries from client • Independently develop and execute media plans based on campaign briefs • Demonstrate cooperative spirit and leadership with team members In six months: • Familiarity with GroupM tools to upscale quality of planning proposal • Utilize comprehensive e-commerce knowledge base and synthesize information into ideas • Present plan recommendations to client teams • Manage client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information • Work with analytic partners to gauge media performance and KPI’s to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met • Manage internal meetings with other departments and call on agency resources to strengthen ideas In 12 months: • Serve as the key day-to-day contact for e-commerce planning and execution. • Establish and grow a strong relationship with the client through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of the client’s basic business issues / maintain client contact • Contribute to campaign post-mortems, quarterly reviews, and annual planning. • Demonstrate understanding of financial processes related to campaign delivery and planning scope. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: • Oversee e-commerce campaigns from planning to execution, and track performance based on objective and targets o Utilize comprehensive digital and ecommerce knowledge base and synthesize information into ideas • Analyze performance to optimize day-to-day and deliver in-campaign and/or post- mortem reports • Manage client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information • Foster a good working relationship across all client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans • Establish and grow a strong relationship with the client through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of the client’s basic business issues / maintain client contact • Begin to understand financial implications of client contracts, plan changes etc. • Coordinate with internal teams for briefing, alignment, and execution of e-commerce campaigns, and manage meetings with other departments and call on agency resources to strengthen ideas • Work with external partners to gauge media performance and KPI’s to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met • Steward relationship with outside agency partners Skills and Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in either Marketing or a Business-related course Work Experience At least 2-3 years experience in the digital media, marketing or advertising industry Required Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills and Attitude) • Excellent communication skills, with strong analytical skills • Strong project management skills, with the ability to negotiate with agencies and publishers to ensure campaign objectives are met • Strong attention to detail and a process has driven mindset, with excellent time- management skills and a penchant for prioritization • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – and reporting tools • Strong passion to understand media, digital content, and campaign implementations • Ability to work autonomously whilst achieving campaign objectives Others: Knowledge in digital programmatic buying and coding is a plus but not required.
